Lately, I’ve been thinking about work–life balance… and realizing how much progress I’ve made since 2011, when I got divorced. At that moment, I didn’t really know what a balanced life was supposed to look like. It always sounded neat and orderly for others, though I suspected that wasn’t true for most people.
I needed to concentrate on myself. A few years before my divorce, I took a year-long course called Courage to Act for Women, and I chose to focus on my physical and mental health, as well as my overall family life.
