It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why burnout rates are so high in modern-day society. People are expected to constantly push themselves—not just by workplaces, but by their own internal pressure to achieve, improve, and “do it all.”

Since I myself am prone to burnout, I have to remain constantly vigilant to its earliest symptoms. But one thing I have struggled to figure out is why some people (like myself) are more susceptible to it, while others never seem to struggle with it at all.
