The hardest thing to watch isn’t a storm rolling in across the horizon.

It’s watching the generation before us—the men and women who built this country with calloused hands and tired backs—struggle to afford living in the very place they helped build.

These are the people who punched the clock before sunrise.
The people who worked the farms, the mills, the factories, the woods, and the roads.
The people who raised families, paid their taxes, volunteered at community halls, and believed that if they worked hard enough, retirement would bring a little peace.

But for too many, peace has become worry.
