How do you feel about the automated systems that have replaced human appointment reminders?
The system sends a text and/or email to confirm an appointment. Reminders may follow weeks in advance, days prior and even the day of the appointment. One business also makes a final phone call.
During the call, I asked about the excessive reminders.
People book but don’t show so the business felt every reminder was necessary. Six prompts for one appointment seems like overkill but I understand. A missed appointment equates to lost revenue and productivity….
