We ask for things, somewhat selfishly, like winning the lottery or getting a new sports car. While it’s fun to dream, common sense gives way and we realize that might be asking for too much.
Sometimes, the things we desire in life aren’t the best choice for us. Or the timing isn’t right. The Universe doesn’t always say “No”. Sometimes it says “Not right now”. Maybe we need to get our house in order for what’s to come next….Unlock the Archives

Yes Toxicity seems to be all around us. It can easily swallow us up if we let it. My mantra now is- is to Speak up. Not sure if that will work…. But I think it beats the alternative – be silenced.
I am happy you are speaking up and speaking out.
A far as expectations go … having them is just a way to control… best not to have them…
Onward we go….
I agree that everything seems toxic these days. I’m not sure the best approach to combat it either. Some situations demand a conversation while sometimes, it might be best to just walk away? You make an interesting point about expectations. It is control though I never thought of if that way. That makes perfect sense!
I always look forward to your insightful comments. Thank you for following along on this journey.
Wow! You have stirred so many memories & the lessons I have learned over the years! The countless mistakes I have made along the way as I walked my path. I have so many thoughts on religion/education, the daily grind/crushing initiative & the victim players (poor me) that I’m not going to write about them yet – I want to organize my thoughts – but again, I must thank you for your courage, honesty & your writing skills – once again you have propelled me to review, examine & remember why I think & feel as I do, opposed to what I once thought & felt.
I send you energy, curiosity & endurance as you continue to discover & overcome obstacles. You rock!
Thank you Pretzel for your continued encouragement! It really means a lot to me.
I’ve had a lot of time to think about the role religion, education, capitalism plays in society and it should be no surprise there are so many burnouts and other issues plaguing society. I plan to talk about all of it in much greater detail in the coming months. Stay tuned!
