Phew! Isn’t this a loaded statement.

As children, we are taught to weigh a certain size, wear our hair a certain way, or we will somehow be less. We watch our mothers or other role models refuse a tasty dessert and eat only salads, go on fad diet after diet, just to have that perfect hour glass figure. Society promotes an unhealthy and unrealistic image of the female body. Cosmetic companies prey on our insecurities to boost their sales.

  1. I am definitely one that eats my emotions, I have struggled my whole life with this. You are a true inspiration. It warms my heart to know that your journey is starting to be a positive one.

    1. I think many of us use food for comfort if we’re being honest. Being mindful helps but that takes practice and retraining our brain. Old habits die hard. Thanks for being a part of my recovery. ❤️
