I can so relate to that illusion of control. I am an adult child of alcoholic parents and the lack of control in my home and in my life have made me into à perfectionism, wanting up control everything and everyone.
After years of self help groups, sponsoring, I still struggle to not control, to go with the flow. I now am trying to take steps out of my comfort zone and that is sooooo scary. I will need to start small, baby steps.
Thanks for sharing about control. I needed that.

I thought I was the only one who cleans like that, washing down walls etc. I do find that putting your whole mind, body and soul into whatever you’re doing helps with keeping your mind occupied and not thinking about anything but what’s in front of you.
It’s little things that are out of your control that needs to be forgotten and not fussed over.
We are only human.
