Did you ever go to an event where you were asked a “Fun Fact” about yourself? My go-to fun facts that always seem to surprise people are:
1) I have never been on an airplane.
2) I have lived in the same city my whole life.
I was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, a beautiful little gem of a city with the mighty Saint John River running through its core. At various times in my life, I had thought about moving away, but something always stopped me. There was always some excuse, some reason to stay.
Many young people first move away from home when they go to university. But since we only lived about a 15-minute walk from UNB Fredericton, it made more sense to live at home so I wouldn’t have to take out extra student loans….
