Surprisingly, work still crosses my mind from time to time as I continue to dissect the parts that contributed to burnout. Work played a huge role; my varied career always involved hustle. Deadlines, benchmarks, key performance indicators and projections can only lead to exhaustion because just as I crossed the finish line, the bar was raised again. It was never enough.
