One response to “The Poppy: More Than a Symbol, A Promise We Must Keep”

Remembrance should include gratitude for and dedication to a strong democracy. I’m grateful for those who sacrificed and those who still sacrifice so Canadians and citizens elsewhere can enjoy basic rights and freedoms. I researched what to do with poppies after the 11th. I discovered we should place poppies on crosses or wreaths at the end of the Remembrance Day ceremony. Though we should continue to thankfully acknowledge our military, it’s respectful to stop wearing poppies after Nov. 11th. The poppy campaign provides valuable help to amputees. Thank you for this piece!
